Lesson Policies

The Casino Guitars Teaching Studio is located at 125 E. Pennsylvania Ave, just around the corner from the Guitar Shop.

Our lessons are scheduled for 45 minutes and recur weekly unless otherwise discussed with the teacher or manager. Teachers are expected to start at stop at the scheduled time; please be on time to make the most of your lesson.

Your Student Portal will have your scheduled lessons, performance dates, invoices and can even help you to record practice time. Login here.

Scheduling

First lessons should be scheduled by our studio manager.  Once you complete the information on the  Sign-Up  page, you will have access to log into your student portal and see available lesson times.  Please email our  manager  with lesson times that work for you and we will complete your account setup and add you to the calendar.

Changes to your regular lesson time or changing teachers should be handled by our manager through email: lessons@casinoguitars.com. One-time cancellations are done through the student  portal  (see Cancellation Policy below.)

Make-Up Lessons or additional one-time lessons may be available based on other student cancellations, if you have cancelled or would like to use one of those times, you can register through the student portal for lessons more than 3 days out.  If you have not paid in advance for that lesson time, the lesson will be added to your following month's invoice.

Performances are put on the calendar with a limited number of registration opportunities.  Please add your student if they plan to perform.  Audience attendance is only limited by the venue at the time of the event.

Master Classes may be limited to students of a certain level and have a cost specific to the teacher or event. They are on the calendar with a limited number of registration opportunities and payment will be due at the time of the event or can be added to your online account.

Payment

Invoices are emailed at the beginning of each month based on lessons scheduled that month and should be paid online using the link in the invoice email or your student portal login.

Exceptions: If you need to pay by check, the full amount for the month will be due at your first lesson each month. Checks should be written out to Casino Teaching Studios and put in an envelope with the student's name & date.

If you are unable to pay for lessons monthly, we can set up weekly invoicing.  Email the request to lessons@casinoguitars.com and we will adjust your account.  Reminder: late cancellations and no-shows are charged at the full lesson rate.

Payments are put into an account grouped by family.  When you make a payment in advance of lessons, the balance is held in that account until the lesson time.  Your account is reduced at that time if you attend the lesson, cancel late or do not show up.  If there is a mistake on your online account please let us know so we can make the correction. Please note emailed invoices are PDFs and do not update, your student portal  will have the most up-to-date information. If you need an updated Invoice, email us the request and we will get it updated and resent.

Our Teachers & Casino Guitars Staff DO NOT have access to lesson invoices, student balances or other teacher's schedules.  Questions about payment should be directed to our studio manager by email.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations should be done through our Student Portal prior to the first of the month to avoid the lesson being included on your monthly invoice.  If you need to cancel after the invoice is sent, the pre-paid balance will reduce the following month's invoice OR you can schedule a make-up time if one is available. Contact the studio manager for assistance if needed.  No-Shows or frequent cancellations may lead to loss of student lesson time in lieu of a student who is able to attend weekly lessons.

Any teacher cancellation is NOT charged to the student account, the pre-paid balance will reduce the following month's balance or can be refunded.  We do ask our teachers to cancel in advance when possible, please contact our studio if you are having issues with teacher cancellations.

Sick Policy

As a student/parent of Casino Guitars Teaching Studio, you must cancel lessons scheduled within 24 hours of a fever in excess of 100 degrees or exhibiting symptoms including but not limited to: chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body ache, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, or sore throat.

You should notify the teaching studio upon confirmation or diagnosis of any illness (such as, but not limited to Coronavirus, Flu and Strep Throat) for students or family members that could have spread it while attending lessons, visiting the studio or group performances.

We ask that you do not attend classes, camps, performances or workshops when asked to quarantine due to potential exposure of COVID or other contagious disease.
